Warwickshire - William Shakespeare country

Warwickshire Map

Warwickshire is sometimes called 'Leafy' or 'Sleepy' Warwickshire because of its wonderful green and relaxing countryside.

It is probably best known for the town of Stratford-upon-Avon, home of William Shakespeare. It is a lovely market town with very good shopping and restaurants and a wonderful theatre on the River Avon. The town also takes its heritage very seriously and there are many opportunities to learn about Shakespeare.

Two beautiful castles can be found in Warwickshire, Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle. Kenilworth is not as famous as Warwick Castle, but both are beautiful, atmospheric, romantic and very interesting historically. Well worth a visit and something which your language school can organise for you.
